Mike Lydon is a retired Sergeant with Butte County Sheriff’s Office in Northern California with a total of 34 years of service. During his career, he spent 18 years in various positions with Butte County Sheriff’s Office as a Major Crimes Detective, FTO, Crime Scene Investigator, K-9 Handler and Firearms Instructor as well as 4 years as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff.
In his early years of law enforcement, he was one of the first C.A.M.P. (Campaign Against Marijuana Planting) team members in Northern California conducting raids in Butte, Tehama, Glenn, Mendocino, Trinity and Humboldt counties. Mike also has the honor have having handled the first Methamphetamine Detection K-9 in Northern California, which allowed Mike to travel and assist neighboring counties Narcotic Units.
